1952-66 University Avenue shell remodel

Berkeley CA

The 1952-66 University Avenue project is the restoration and revitalization of six long neglected historical buildings that are in various states of disrepair.  The two buildings along University Avenue are designated Structures of Merit and have had shell and facade restoration for cafe and restaurant uses.  The four rear buildings are situated around a large landscaped open space filled with rose gardens, a courtyard and outdoor cafe seating.  They have also had their shell and facades restored for small office uses.

2011  BAHA, Berkeley Architectural Heritage Association:                                                           Restored Commercial Complex Award: 1952-66 University Avenue, The Bertin           Properties.
